ZMAL, presents Champions Bowl Ghana, 2016 Youth Tennis Tournament. Come and enjoy Tennis from this our youthful Talents from 5th to 7th August,2016. Winners will have opportunity to participate at the world masters coming October,2016.
Champions Bowl Championship 2015
The 1st edition of Champions Bowl
Championship which was Sponsored by Wilson ended last weekend, Aaron Asante, Derek Narh, Amos Asante,
Venessah akuaku and Priscilla Dosoo all from St, Francis Tennis Club Ashaiman,
and Obuasi based Lordina Aidoo won the coveted most outstanding players’ awards
for the boys and girls categories respectively.
Players who won at the 1st edition of Champion Bowl Championship will
represent Ghana in the World Champion Bowl Championship in Turkey scheduled in
October.
No fewer than 70 of such junior players in both male and female categories
participated in the championship, which was held at Winneba Sports College,
from September 3 to September 5.
The competitions featured boys and girls U-10, 12, 14, and 16 categories
from across the country.
Venessah Akuaku of St, Francis Tennis Club featured in the girls under 10 finals
beating another prodigious junior talents Michealin Wormegah while Lordina
Aidoo of Obuasi Tennis Club won girls under 12 title defeating Aleona Naa
Ankrah of Winneba Sports College. The girls under 16 title was won by Priscilla
Dosoo who beat her colleague Club member Genevieve Kattah.
In the Boys event, Amos Asante of St, Francis Tennis Club upset left handed
Kenneth Agbokatse in the Boys under 10. Emmanuel Plange of Kaneshie Sports
Complex pulled one back for his team by overcoming a hard fighting George
Nyarko in the Boys under 16.
St, Francis Tennis Club got their second title in the boys category through
Derek Narh who beat Lameck Bukari Bagerbaseh in the boys under 12. Aaron Asante
of St, Francis Tennis Club got Club’s third title after ousting Thomas Asare
from Winneba Sports College.
The competition, as always was essentially targeted at exposing the raw
talents into quality players that could in future become top stars.
The grand finale of the 3 days championship was attended by many dignitaries
including Chairman of Winneba National Sports Council Chairman Erasmmus Edokwo
and ITF level 2 Instructor Noah
